About the Event
Join us for a Lunch & Learn event, presented by The Jung Center's Community for Conscious Aging. Bring your lunch to an hour that always provides food for thought.
Please grab a couple sheets of paper and a crayon, pen, or pencil, and let’s gather together with curious, open, playful hearts and minds. In this fun and interactive workshop, Karen Waldman, PhD, a licensed psychologist for more than 25 years, will walk participants through thought-provoking exercises to help them not only identify their most important values, but also to commit to live life fully, mindfully, with an attitude of gratitude, and to take related purposeful action in order to create their most joyful, meaningful life ever (because it’s never too late!).
After earning her PhD at the University of Houston, Karen Waldman completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowship in geriatric psychology at the Houston VA hospital, where she subsequently joined the faculty. For almost 20 years, Karen served veterans and their families, in addition to teaching/supervising psychology trainees and psychiatry residents from Baylor College of Medicine. After retiring, Karen joined her husband in part-time private practice, where she primarily specializes in relationship counseling and health psychology. Karen also stays busy acting, leading groups, savoring nature, serving on the CCA Steering Committee, and writing. (She and her husband are currently co-authoring a book called Self-Help for Couples.) Karen mostly enjoys spending time with her hubby, their kids and grandkids, extended family, good friends, and her dog, Lasso.
