About the Event

As we move from middle age into what Jung calls "the afternoon of life" (seniority or elder-hood; thought of as beginning around age 50), we often find we have no roadmap for the journey. Jung writes, “…We take this step with the false presupposition that our truths and our ideals will serve us as hitherto. But we cannot live the afternoon of life according to the program of life's morning, for what was great in the morning will be little at evening and what in the morning was true, at evening will have become a lie." Join us as we explore our own experiences of elder-hood and learn to give voice to that which is wise within. By accessing our inner instinctual creativity through writing, music, movement, poetry, and discussion, we'll reveal how the stores of wisdom we've amassed over our lives can help us to serve as both seekers and guardians of heritage.
