About the Event
If you eschew the common societal belief that one’s contributions and passionate engagement with life will inevitably wan and lessen during our elder years, join us in this Wisdom Circle for a more positive, vital model on aging. If you too seek fresh, shared perspectives on how to not just grow old but to age consciously and with intention, please be part of our circle. Our time together will allow for the exploration of a positive and more vital model of aging that focuses on the potential for growth, service, fulfillment, and spiritual exploration, while sharing our stories, hopes, fears, and laughter. Over a six-week period, starting February 23, we will meet to explore life’s big questions and end with a shared, agreed-upon community project. This Wisdom Circle, based on community interest, will be offered again throughout the year.
“The world needs conscious elders that shine as beacons of hope in the darkness of fear, elders championing and modeling life-sustaining values and using their wisdom and compassion to heal a wounded planet.” Ron Pevny, Conscious Living, Conscious Aging
Facilitator: Ellen Bishop When: 10 am for six weeks beginning February 23 Where: Back patio, Brasil’s Cafe, 2604 Dunlavy Street Register: Space is limited and will be offered on a first come, first come basis.
